Meet Abby Guirguis

Autonomous Family Nurse Practitioner, Abby Guirguis is the founder and CEO of Tropical Telemedicine. Abby launched Tropical Telemedicine in 2023 with the passionate goal of providing a fast, hassle-free, and affordable way for Florida patients to receive essential healthcare services, online and from the comfort of their own homes.

Abby brings a valuable wealth of knowledge and expertise, with 15 years of experience in nursing, 1o years as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has education, training and experience from several world-renowned academic institutions, including The University of Cincinnati, The Ohio State University and Cleveland Clinic. She has served as both a Staff Nurse and Nurse Practitioner to patients of all ages in a wide array of specialties and settings over the years. Mot of her time in advanced practice has been in Family Health and Urgent Care. She has also served as a Clinical Advanced Practice Nursing Instructor and Nurse Preceptor to new nurses and students. 

A Midwest girl, Abby was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio. She feels blessed to have been raised in a small town with a unique, diverse community that exposed her to various cultural backgrounds, situations, and needs. At a young age, she enjoyed serving others through active involvement in her church and community. She developed a lifelong passion for health and fitness throughout the years. Inspired by these things, along with the inspiration of of nurses who were family and friends close to her, Abby chose to pursue her own career in nursing.

She is involved in her community as Treasurer of her neighborhood association and writes as a Resident Contributor for a community magazine publication in her area. For fun she enjoys cooking, entertaining, traveling, boating, and running.
