What is semaglutide?

Semaglutide is a once-weekly injectable GLP-1 medication. It helps you feel full sooner, eat less, and reduce cravings. We prescribe compounded semaglutide when appropriate.

Who it's for

  • Adults with a BMI of 27 or higher
  • People ready to commit to a 3-month program
  • Patients physically in Florida during visits

Who should not take it

GLP-1 medications aren't right for everyone. They're not recommended if you're pregnant or planning pregnancy, or have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2. Abby will review your full history first.

How the program works

  1. 1Book your video visit.
  2. 2Abby reviews your history and goals.
  3. 3If appropriate, medication ships from a partner pharmacy, usually within a couple of business days.
  4. 4Regular check-ins to adjust your dose and track progress.

Cost

Starts at $200 per month for a 3-month program, paid up front, with medication included.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Abby will decide whether a GLP-1 medication is appropriate for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is semaglutide the same as tirzepatide?

No. Both are GLP-1 medications, but tirzepatide also acts on a second hormone, GIP. Abby will help you decide which fits you best. See our tirzepatide page to compare.

What side effects are common?

The most common are nausea, upset stomach, and constipation, especially when starting or increasing a dose. Abby will start low and adjust slowly.

Do I need to be in Florida?

Yes. You must be physically in Florida during your visits.
