Cosmetic Skincare

Cosmetic skincare includes various products and treatments to enhance the appearance and health of your skin. These solutions can help address multiple skin concerns and conditions, helping you regain healthy skin and boost your confidence.

Common skin concerns do not always require an immediate visit to a dermatologist or healthcare provider. They can be treated effectively with proper medical care and guidance, which can be easily accessed from home.

At Tropical Telemedicine, our virtual consultations make it easy to get the care you need. We make cosmetic skincare more accessible and convenient by providing personalized treatments and prescriptions from the comfort of your home.

Common Skin Conditions

Skin concerns can extend beyond just your face, affecting various areas of your body and even your scalp. At Tropical Telemedicine, we address a wide range of cosmetic concerns and skin conditions with expertise and personalized care.

Acne is a common skin condition that can occur at any age but is more common in teenagers and young adults. It arises when oil and dead skin cells block or clog pores, leading to the formation of pimples, blackheads, and cysts.

We provide customized skincare routines, prescription medications, and lifestyle recommendations to help manage and reduce acne breakouts effectively.

Cellulitis is a bacterial skin infection that can cause redness, swelling, and pain in the affected area. It typically occurs when bacteria enter the skin through cuts, wounds, or insect bites, leading to inflammation and infection.

Timely medical care and prescriptions are crucial for treating cellulitis and preventing complications. We offer virtual consultations for fast examination, treatment, and guidance on how to care for the affected skin at home.

Skin Rashes & Lesions

Skin lesions are abnormal lumps, bumps, or colored areas on your skin. Skin rashes and lesions can result from various factors, including allergic reactions, injuries, infections, and underlying skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis.

These abnormal skin changes can affect your skin's appearance and comfort. While skin lesions are usually benign, they may sometimes indicate underlying health conditions.

We can assess your condition to prescribe treatment and determine if it requires further evaluation. If necessary, we can refer you to specialists for additional assessment and treatment.

Scalp Conditions

Scalp conditions like dandruff and lice can be uncomfortable and embarrassing. Dandruff can be caused by overgrowth of fungus on the scalp, dry skin, or due to sensitivity to hair care products. On the other hand, lice infestations are typically contracted through close contact with an infected person.

We provide expert advice and treatment options, including medicated shampoos and prescription lotions, to address your scalp concerns. We also provide guidance on how to manage and prevent these conditions effectively.

Scabies, caused by tiny mites burrowing into the skin, can result in intense itching and a pimple-like rash. Although highly contagious, it is easily treatable with medicated skin creams or pills that eliminate the mites and their eggs.

We can examine your symptoms, prescribe appropriate treatments, and offer guidance on preventing reinfestation and transmission - all accessible from the comfort of your own home.

Warts are benign growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) infecting the skin's top layer. Although small, they can be uncomfortable, contagious, and painful. We provide treatment options tailored to your needs to remove warts effectively.

Herpes (Types I and II)

Herpes, caused by the Herpes simplex virus (HSV), can lead to painful sores and blisters around the mouth (Type I) or genitals (Type II). It spreads through intimate contact via oral or sexual contact.

We offer telemedicine consultations to provide medications for managing herpes and offer education on preventing transmission.

Skin & Nail Infections

Fungal and bacterial infections can affect your skin and nails, causing discomfort and cosmetic concerns. Athlete's foot, ringworm, and nail infections are common examples.

We prescribe appropriate treatments, along with guidance on proper hygiene and care to prevent future occurrences.

Hair Loss

Hair loss can have various causes, including genetics, hormonal changes, and underlying health conditions. It is a widespread issue and can significantly impact your self-confidence.

We offer treatments such as topical and oral medications and lifestyle advice to promote hair growth and prevent further loss.

Lash Growth

For those seeking fuller, longer eyelashes, we offer specialized consultations and prescriptions, such as generic Latisse®, for lash growth treatments. Our expert guidance ensures you achieve your desired results safely and effectively.

Cosmetic Skincare

Factors such as aging, environmental damage, hormonal changes, and lifestyle habits can affect your skin appearance and health. These factors may contribute to skin aging, loss of elasticity, diminished radiance, and other concerns.

We provide consultations to address your skincare issues effectively. This includes tailored recommendations and prescriptions for cosmetic products and medications tailored to your specific needs and aesthetic goals.

Cosmetic Skincare Services at Tropical Telemedicine

At Tropical Telemedicine, we provide in-depth cosmetic skincare services to address your skin issues and conditions. Our provider, Abby Guirguis (APRN-CNP), offers fast, affordable, and accessible medical care and prescriptions for all your skincare concerns at once.

With our cosmetic skincare services, you can get multiple prescriptions in a single visit at a much greater value than med spas. This can save you a significant amount of money compared to visiting multiple med spas for separate consultations and prescriptions.

Whether you're seeking treatment for acne, signs of aging, hair loss, or lash growth, we offer convenient prescriptions and medication refills to address your specific needs. If necessary, we can also provide referrals to specialists for further evaluation and management.

For quick assessments and prescriptions, we offer 5-minute Cosmetic Consultation Mini Visits at a flat rate of $50 per visit. Each visit includes a 3-month prescription for up to three of the following treatments:

  • Tretinoin for anti-aging
  • Hydroquinone for correcting skin pigmentation
  • Latisse for lash growth

While these mini-visits are ideal for addressing immediate skincare needs efficiently, for a more in-depth consultation, we recommend booking a full appointment.
